About Andréa

Andréa first encountered Traditional Chinese Medicine while working in a clinic as a massage practitioner. She found herself deeply drawn to the way it understood the body — not as a collection of separate parts, but as an interconnected, living system. Whenever she had the chance, she listened closely to the practitioner in the clinic who was working with acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Something about it made immediate sense to her.

Her personal connection to this medicine deepened after the birth of her first child. Following a C-section and spinal anaesthetic, Andréa experienced complications that left her with a disturbing sense that her legs were no longer properly connected to the rest of her body. Conventional care offered little explanation or support, and she found herself remembering the Chinese medicine practitioner she had once worked alongside.

After some effort, she managed to find him and book an appointment. He treated her with acupuncture, working on her back, and the change was profound. She felt almost completely restored. That experience became a turning point. Andréa knew then that she needed to study this medicine.

Andréa trained in acupuncture and herbal medicine, and has now been practising Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 12 years. Over time, her work has expanded into a broader East Asian medicine approach, shaped by years of clinical practice, teaching, birth work, and continued study.

Her early practice was a general clinic, where she treated a wide range of conditions, with a particular focus on digestive health, hormonal concerns, pain, and musculoskeletal issues such as frozen shoulder, sciatica, twisted ankles, golfer’s elbow, and related complaints.

She later began working as a TCM birth practitioner, accompanying women into hospital and supporting them with acupuncture during labour, birth, and the postpartum period. Alongside her clinical work, Andréa lectured and supervised students in the teaching clinic at Endeavour College in South Australia.

She also contributed to research through the University of Western Sydney, working within a study exploring the role of acupuncture in fertility and supporting women undergoing IVF treatment.

At the heart of Andréa’s work is the East Asian understanding that health is not created through a single “magic bullet.” Healing is built gradually, through rhythm, nourishment, strength, warmth, restoration, and a deeper relationship with the body.

Today, Andréa works online with people around the world, teaching the principles of East Asian medicine and supporting clients to understand their bodies in a more connected, compassionate, and practical way. Her work is especially rooted in helping women rebuild trust in their bodies, restore their sense of vitality, and feel more fully at home in themselves.
